Agreement and scope
These terms apply to goods and services supplied by Audio Brissy, ABN 28 552 315 461. A contract is formed when you accept our quote, ask us to begin work, pay a deposit or otherwise confirm a booking.
The agreement consists of these terms together with the accepted quote or invoice and any later variation authorised by both parties. If there is an inconsistency, the specific written quote or variation takes priority for that job.
Quotes, compatibility and variations
Quotes are based on the vehicle and equipment information available at the time. Unless the quote states otherwise, it remains open for 30 days and is subject to product availability.
Hidden wiring damage, previous modifications, missing parts, unexpected compatibility issues or a change in requested scope may require additional parts, labour or time. We will explain the issue and obtain your approval before completing additional chargeable work. Approval may be provided by email, text message, WhatsApp or verbally and recorded by us.
Deposits, prices and payment
Prices, applicable taxes, travel charges and payment milestones will be shown in the quote or invoice. A deposit may be required to reserve time or order equipment and is credited toward the final balance.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due when the work is completed. Card, bank transfer, cash and eligible Afterpay transactions may be available. Third-party payment providers may apply their own terms.
Any amount retained after a customer cancellation will be limited to reasonable, disclosed costs or loss incurred, to the extent permitted by law.
Bookings, cancellation and weather
Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. The treatment of a deposit will depend on notice given, special-order products, work already completed and reasonable costs incurred. We will explain the outcome in writing.
Because we work outdoors and travel between customers, we may reschedule where weather, safety, illness, traffic, product delay or another event beyond reasonable control prevents safe or timely work. If Audio Brissy cannot supply the agreed goods or services and no suitable alternative is accepted, amounts paid for the unsupplied portion will be refunded.
Your responsibilities
- confirm that you own the vehicle or are authorised to approve the work
- provide accurate vehicle, equipment and contact information
- provide the keys and safe, unobstructed access to the vehicle
- provide a reasonably level work area with suitable weather protection when needed
- remove valuables, fragile items and child seats from the work area
- disclose known faults, water leaks, battery issues, previous wiring or modifications
- ensure the vehicle is legally and physically safe for the requested work.
Vehicle condition and pre-existing faults
Modern vehicles may contain aged plastics, non-standard wiring, locked modules and previous repairs that are not visible before disassembly. We may photograph relevant areas before or during work and will notify you if we identify a concern.
To the extent permitted by law, Audio Brissy is not responsible for pre-existing defects, undisclosed modifications or failures caused by another person, incompatible equipment, misuse or a customer instruction given against our reasonable advice. We remain responsible for loss or damage caused by our failure to use due care and skill.
Customer-supplied equipment
We may install customer-supplied equipment after checking suitability, but we do not warrant a product we did not sell. You are responsible for confirming that it is genuine, complete and fit for the vehicle.
Additional labour required because a supplied product is faulty, incomplete, incorrectly specified or incompatible may be chargeable after we provide an estimate. Our one-year workmanship warranty still applies to the installation work we perform.
Factory features, data and settings
We will retain compatible factory functions identified in the quote, which may require additional interfaces or parts. A function not listed or not disclosed before quoting is not guaranteed to be retained.
Installation or diagnosis may reset clocks, radio presets, paired devices, learned settings or fault codes. Please back up important settings and remove personal data from equipment where practical before the appointment.
Product warranties, workmanship and consumer guarantees
Audio Brissy provides a one-year workmanship warranty. Product warranty periods vary by brand and will be identified where available. Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace, your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Promptly reporting a concern helps us inspect and resolve it, but no stated warranty period limits a consumer guarantee that continues to apply under law.
Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Subject to that, each party is responsible for direct loss reasonably caused by its breach, negligence or failure to meet legal obligations.
To the extent permitted by law, Audio Brissy is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or delay and failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. Any remedy will be determined in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable law.
Photos and marketing
We may take photographs to document vehicle condition, installation progress, warranty work or completed workmanship. We will ask permission before publishing content that identifies you or your vehicle. You may withdraw marketing permission for future use by contacting us, although content already lawfully published may take time to remove from all channels.
Complaints, governing law and updates
Please raise any concern directly with Audio Brissy first so we have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve it. Contact Audiobrissy@gmail.com or 0406 653 984.
These terms are governed by the laws applying in Queensland, Australia. If any term is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. We may update these website terms for future bookings; the version accepted for an existing booking remains relevant to that agreement.
