Your consumer rights
Goods and services supplied by Audio Brissy come with automatic consumer guarantees. Products must be of acceptable quality, match their description and be fit for any purpose made known to us. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the agreed purpose and be supplied within a reasonable time when no time is agreed.
These rights apply separately from any manufacturer warranty or Audio Brissy's workmanship warranty. More information is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Change-of-mind purchases
Audio Brissy is not required to provide a refund or exchange simply because you changed your mind, chose the wrong product or no longer need the product or booking.
Contact us as early as possible. Before equipment is ordered or work begins, we may agree to a cancellation, exchange or credit in writing. Any approved amount may take into account reasonable, disclosed and non-recoverable costs already incurred, but this does not affect your rights where goods or services fail to meet a consumer guarantee.
Faulty, unsafe or incorrectly described products
If a product supplied by Audio Brissy has a major problem, you may choose a refund or replacement. If the problem is minor, we may first provide a free repair within a reasonable time. The available remedy depends on the circumstances and the Australian Consumer Law.
Audio Brissy remains responsible for remedies relating to products we sell. We may work with the manufacturer or distributor to assess the product, but we will not require you to deal only with the manufacturer.
Refunds will be provided using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise. Please retain your invoice or other proof of purchase.
Installation services and workmanship
Audio Brissy provides a one-year workmanship warranty from the installation date. If an installation issue is caused by our workmanship, contact us so we can inspect and correct it within a reasonable time at no charge.
If a service has a major failure, the remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law may include cancelling the affected service and receiving an appropriate refund for the part not properly supplied, or keeping the service and receiving compensation for the reduced value.
The workmanship warranty does not cover product faults, misuse, accidents, water damage, unauthorised alterations, later work performed by another person, or pre-existing vehicle and electrical faults. Statutory rights still apply where relevant.
Customer-supplied equipment
When you supply the product, its product warranty and any return rights remain with the business that sold it to you. Audio Brissy's workmanship warranty applies only to our installation work.
If customer-supplied equipment is faulty, incompatible, incomplete or incorrectly specified, additional diagnosis, removal, refitting or replacement work may be chargeable. We will explain the issue and provide an estimate before completing additional chargeable work.
Deposits, bookings and special orders
Any required deposit, its purpose and relevant cancellation conditions will be shown in your quote or invoice. Deposits are credited toward the final balance.
If you cancel after special-order equipment has been ordered or costs have been incurred, Audio Brissy may retain an amount that reasonably reflects disclosed, non-recoverable costs and loss, to the extent permitted by law. If Audio Brissy cannot supply the agreed goods or services and no suitable alternative is accepted, amounts paid for the unsupplied portion will be refunded.
How to request a remedy
Email Audiobrissy@gmail.com or call 0406 653 984 with your name, invoice or booking details, vehicle information and a clear description of the issue. Photos or video may help us assess the problem.
We may need reasonable access to inspect the vehicle or product. If a confirmed fault is covered, return or collection costs will be handled as required by law. If inspection finds no fault, we may charge reasonable inspection or collection costs only after giving you an estimate.
